It will be pomp and colour in Kisumu today as Gor Mahia will be officially crowned the 2018 Kenyan Premier League champions for a record 17th time.
Prior to this, K’Ogalo will face 2008 champions Mathare United in an early kick-off match at the Kisumu’s Moi Stadium before the flamboyant ceremony commences.
Kisumu city has hosted K'ogalos' coronation three times in the past five years including last year when the coach Dylan Kerr’s side reclaimed the title from Tusker FC.
Initally, the function was scheduled to take place at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos but clubs' coach Kerr vehemently suggested Kisumu saying that it is where the club draws maniac following.
Coach Dylan will be hoping for a professional performance from his side despite many of the players minds already being on holiday despite the trip to Everton UK in less than forty days.
