Barely two months after hosting the flamboyant Birolich Mashujaa day tournament which attracted teams from Nyanza, Western and Rift Valley region, Pacho 360 Hoops has organized even a bigger event that will see teams from all over the country have a remarkable clash at Jomo Kenyatta Sports grounds in Kisumu this weekend.
Unlike in previous tournaments where focus was on basketball, this weekends’ event will strongly feature both Basketball, Hockey and Handball and will present men and women teams in both categories as well.
Last year Tigoi Girls which is the reigning East African Runners up were the winner in the Girls Hockey category followed by Kisumu Lakers. For the men Kisumu Boys lifted the trophy followed by Ngere Boys.
Basket Ball boys trophy was bagged by Ambira boys while Barchando scooped the girls’ category.
According to the organizers, this year winners will not only get trophies and bragging rights but win will also win Medals and giveaways from sponsors.
They asserted that the niche of the tournament will be Diversity of teams participating as well as plenty of play time because of the many fields.
This event is expected to entail lots of fun and entertainment and through the support of Kisumu County Government and other corporate entities organizers are hopeful that the tournament will run seamlessly.
So far AAR has pledged a full Medical care to the participants in case of any injury incidences. Accommodation for visiting schools will also be provided at a minimum fee to cater for distant schools.
